A Day Off...

Today = a day off.  There is a strange joy in being able to do laundry, watch tv, read, and do what I want when I want it.  In some of my reading today, I stumbled across several articles from Timothy Keller.  Pondering the first few chapters of Genesis.  What work look liked when God was creating the world, how sin distorted that view, how the Greeks viewed "work" as absolutely demeaning, to how we are addicted to working in our current culture...

How things change through out the ages but really mean the same thing...  How we as a people still don't quite see clearly...  How sin twists things that are meant for good, and we use them to dishonor God... 

Longing for the real Sabbath rest...
